FC Nurnberg's Vidosic enjoying Socceroos life under Osieck

Dario Vidosic admits Holger Osieck has been a breath of fresh air for the Australian national team since taking over from Pim Verbeek.

The German tactician has employed a more attacking game plan for the Socceroos and Dario Vidosic, who plies his trade with FC Nurnberg in Osieck's homeland, is loving it ahead of Saturday's friendly against Paraguay in Sydney.

"I'm enjoying playing under Holger," Vidosic The World Game. "He's encouraging us to push forward at every opportunity. Even in little games at training, the first ball has to be played forward and that's very encouraging when you are an attacking player.

"Basically the second we win the ball, you know it's going to be coming to you and that's the football we want to play. It's the way we'll approach the game against Paraguay on Saturday.

"Defensively we have proved we're a strong unit. We showed that against teams like Holland but now we're working on getting the attacking side of our game right as well going into the Asian Cup."

Vidosic says he is becoming more confident in his national team shirt and is just focusing on taking any opportunities that happen to come his way.

"I've come on against a few teams and I've done well," he added.

"I am confident that in time I will break through. The fact I can play in so many positions is a bonus for me.

"I'm willing to bide my time. It's a long season and my chances will come."
