Last season's MLS MVP David Ferreira has undergone successful surgery on his broken ankle.
The FC Dallas star was felled in a challenge against Vancouver Whitecaps on April 23 which left him with the problem but has had the issue repaired and will soon start rehabilitation.
Ferreira had started the 2011 season as brightly as he performed last term when he netted eight goals and provided 13 assists. In six matches this campaign he had scored three goals but will now be sidelined for the remainder.
