FC Dallas defeated Costa Rican Primera Division CS Herediano 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Goals from Andre Rocha in the 21st minute and another from guest player Alex Fichera in the 60th minute did the damage at Pizza Hut Park in a game when the visitors finished with just eight men.

"I thought the game started off very well," FCD head coach Schellas Hyndman said.

"We were moving the ball very well when it was 11 against 11 and scored a nice goal. Then it just went crazy.

"It was an opportunity to get some of our key people off the field 25 minutes in, an opportunity to look at players and an opportunity to bring in players."

Hyndman, whose roster is depleted by injuries, was forced to play three players who started in a 2-2 draw with San Jose on Sunday afternoon -- midfielders David Ferreira and Dax McCarty plus defender Drew Moor.
