FC Dallas’ John set for West Ham loan

FC Dallas defender George John is set to join West Ham United on loan.

The 24-year old has been linked with the Hammers for the last few weeks and a loan move with a permanent option is on the cards, delighting manager Sam Allardyce.

"He's a good defender, of the right stature and the right ability and the right ambition who sees his future in this country,” he said.

"He wants to be challenged, wants to improve and his dream is to come and play here. Hopefully we will give him the platform he needs to fulfil those dreams.

"When it does get clinched we'll need to settle him in for a while."
