FC Dallas on the hunt for new technical director after sacking Gorman

FC Dallas have sacked technical director Barry Gorman and are now on the lookout for a replacement.

Gorman was appointed in April 2010 but after not reaching the heights of that campaign in 2011, the Texan club have started from the top with their off-season overhaul.

“Barry Gorman is a great person and did some solid work for FC Dallas while he was here,” club president and CEO Doug Quinn told MLSsoccer.com.

“However, when it came time to look at where we wanted to take this position, we all decided that we could become stronger in some specific areas and needed to look at a number of candidates with different skills.

“We are actively pursuing a technical director.”
