FC Dallas moved to retain one of its biggest playmakers from 2009 by exercising the team's 2010 option for Colombian playmaker David Ferreira.
Ferreira, who was one of two players to start all 30 games in 2009, was the second leading goal scorer on the team with eight goals and finished third overall on the team in assists with seven.
On loan from Brazilian partner Clube Atletico Paranaense, Ferreira was an integral part of the club's successful second half run in 2009, recording five goals and five assists after the All-Star break.
