FC Dallas decline option on trio including former MVP Ferreira

FC Dallas have cut ties with former Major League Soccer MVP David Ferreira.

The Texan club have declined the option on the 34-year old Colombian midfielder who has been in Frisco since 2009 and took out the 2010 MLS MVP award.

Ferreira sustained a serious ankle injury in 2011 and never returned to the heights he hit the season prior with his past two campaigns with FCD being so-so.

Along with the former America de Cali star, Dallas have also waived 28-year old Honduran Ramon Nunez and 25-year old Brazilian midfielder Erick.

Ferreira and Nunez are eligible for the MLS Re-Entry Draft in December while Erick has not played enough MLS seasons to qualify.
