FC Dallas bring in Garcia as Homegrown Player

FC Dallas have announced the signing of Danny Garcia as a Homegrown Player.

The 19-year old midfielder, who is currently on duty with the USA U20 side ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup, has been added to the Texan clubs senior roster after starring for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2012.

"We are really excited to have yet another one of our Homegrown players sign with FC Dallas," said FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman.

"Danny Garcia is a very talented player. Watching him three years ago, we all knew he had a lot of potential. He has played a few matches with our reserve team, where he has done well. He has trained a number of times with our first team and now he is part of the US Under-20 team competing at the World Cup.

"He is a talented left-sided player who will have plenty of opportunities to help FC Dallas find success."
