Scott Chipperfield admits he is keen to make a move to new A-League club Western Sydney.
The 36-year old FC Basel winger is set to come out of contract with the Swiss club soon and it appears as though his extensive career may continue in Australia.
Former Socceroos ace Chipperfield revealed to The World Game that he expects Western Sydney head coach Tony Popovic to approach him regarding a move to the A-League which is something that interests him.
"It would be good to see what Poppa says. He's away at the moment but we'll talk soon I hope and I'll find out whether or not he sees me as somebody he'd want in his squad.
"Hopefully I can help out there with my experience and maybe move into the coaching side of things down the track," Chipperfield added. "Either that or maybe into the fitness conditioning area. I'll be keen to see what sort of opportunities there are after football.""Nothing formal has happened yet but I know Poppa wants to have a chat with me and I'm happy to do that because I find the idea of playing in the A-League really appealing," Chipperfield said.
