FC Basel are reviving their interest in former Portsmouth and Arsenal defender Sol Campbell.

The Daily Mail says the Swiss club tried to sign the 35-year-old in the summer, before Campbell settled on a lucrative deal with Notts County.

But with the move to the Midlands ending in disaster, Basel want to sign him up for January.

The centre-half has been training with Arsenal to keep fit but remains in dispute with County after walking out on a five-year contract.
