FC Augsburg have confirmed their interest in Sunderland striker Ji Dong-won.

The South Korean youngster could be on the move to Germany in January.

"This is an interesting young man. We've already had contact, but there is no offer," said Augsburg manager Jurgen Rollman.

German sources say Ji was in the town two weeks ago to visit Augsburg and look over their training facilities.

"He can play all positions on offense, which makes him very interesting, of course," added Rollman.
