FBK Kaunas defender Mantas Fridrikas wants talks with Hearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov over a January move to Edinburgh. Romanov's Investment Group finances both Kaunas and Hearts,.

The 20 year old told the Edinburgh Evening News: "Nobody has told me when I will come to Edinburgh, so I have no idea.

"Maybe it will happen this month, next month or maybe in the summer. I hope it is this month, but Mr Romanov is on holiday now. When he comes back, I will try to talk with him.

"Maybe he will come and speak to me about Scotland and about Hearts. I want to play in another country, Scotland or somewhere else. I like the UK, and it would be good to play there.

"I know about Hearts; I know the squad is very good. They have a good trainer, and the atmosphere is very good right now."
