Stoke City defender Abdoulaye Faye is proud of his role in the club's success since breaking into the Premier League.
He is delighted to have played a part in turning the Potters into a top flight force and is determined to ensure that they remain among England's elite for the foreseeable future.
Faye told The Sentinel: "I am proud. When I first came to Stoke some people said the club was going straight back down, but I said I wanted to come here and I wanted the challenge.
"But we stayed up then and in the second season as well. Now this year we have a strong team and more good players.
"Everyone works hard together and enjoys the game. The team spirit is as good as it was."
