Faye determined to fight for Hull future

Abdoulaye Faye is determined to win back his place at Hull City.

The former Newcastle United will be on the bench today against his old club.

"It's been frustrating. You have new lads come into the club, they do well and I am injured in pre-season," said Faye, who made 24 appearances for Newcastle in the 2007-08 season.

"Now I have to wait for my place to be ready. I've played three games now and feel fit but I must be patient to come back again.

"It's disappointing because the end of last season was so good for me. I played well but the new players have arrived and I have to wait.

"I have confidence in myself. When they want me I am here and I will do my job. I am ready to fight for my place."
