Faurlin tribute to ex-QPR boss Warnock

Alejandro Faurlin has paid tribute to former QPR boss Neil Warnock.

Faurlin has now recovered from the cruciate knee injury he suffered in the 1-1 FA Cup draw at MK Dons in January, which turned out to be ex-manager Warnock's last game in charge.

Faurlin said: "Neil was like a father figure to me and it was worrying when he left. In came a new manager I haven't worked with and you don't know if he trusts in you.

"I couldn't show what I could do because I was injured, and he bought midfielders like Samba Diakite and Stephane M'Bia.

"But he has been great with me and offered lots of support. When I started for the first time against Walsall (in the Capital One Cup in August) it surprised me I was selected so quickly."
