Faulkner insists Villa have no plans of selling Benteke

Aston Villa chief Paul Faulkner insists they have no plans of cashing in on Christian Benteke.

Faulkner has told fans Villa will continue to fight to keep Benteke, even if he further boosts his reputation by starring for Belgium in the 2014 World Cup.

Asked if it was a given Benteke would leave next summer, Villa's chief executive told fans: "No. He's currently three months into a new four-year contract. We're looking forward to having him back fit and available for the upcoming games."
