Julien Faubert has impressed all with the way he has fought his way back at West Ham United.

The Frenchman has lost weight and won over the Hammers faithful with his performances at fullback this season.

He told the Sunday Times: "I talked to the manager. I said I'd like to play right-back because I feel better there. I did my formation on centre-back so I like to defend and I like to attack; it's a good mix.

"The manager said, 'Okay, if you want to play right-back you have the quality, but you have to work, you have to be competitive. Understand this'. I said that was fine. But when he saw me I think he was just surprised I'd lost my weight."
