Inter Milan director general Marco Fassone says they will wait until the summer to upgrade Roberto Mancini's squad.
Mancini is barely two weeks into the job.
"Mancini wants to play the next three, four games first so he can get a sense of the squad," said Fassone to the Corriere dello Sport.
"Only then will he update us on his requirements.
"Transfer operations in January are short-winded and turn out not to be very effective.
"Our objective is to prepare ourselves adequately for the transfer window in June, when we will move significantly from an economic and technical point of view."
