Farina's future as Brisbane coach uncertain

The future of Frank Farina as coach of Brisbane Roar is clouded with uncertainty.

After being caught drink-driving on his way to training on Saturday morning, Farina was stood down indefinitely from the role as head coach and is now fighting to save his future.

Roar chairman Chris Bombolas said the club was still deciding its options with Farina but said at not stage does the club look kindly on the situation the former Socceroos boss has found himself in.

''There are a whole raft of options,'' Bombolas said. ''Under no circumstances do we condone driving under the influence of either alcohol or drugs or any illegal substance.

''Unfortunately it is Frank's second offence.

''He is very remorseful. He regrets it. He understands what he's done. He understands the ramifications and he regrets deeply what he did.

''The club at this point in time is behind him. It's a difficult time for Frank and his family.''
