Farina confident Queensland Roar can find form

Frank Farina is adamant his troops can recover from the slow start they have made to the season and put last game's poor performance behind them. The Queensland Roar coach is sticking by his players and believes the fact they haven't had a regular starting defensive line has hurt them where it matters most.

Farina told the A-League website, "We've had virtually all pre-season and the first three games of the league where we haven't been able to field the same backline and I think it's showed on a couple of occasions with goals that we've conceded."

So far this season, the Roar have ground out two 1-1 draws before being beaten at home by Central Coast Mariners 4-2 in a display that Farina is happy to let lie with history but is confident that results will turn in his favour.

Farina added, "Once we get the stability in there I'm confident we'll be winning games and picking up points.

"We had a word (about he Mariners game) and that's behind us.

"Spirits are good, training's been great. I think in general play we're doing well. We've just got to cut out silly errors and small mistakes that we've been making."

The Roar are likely to welcome back veteran defender and captain Craig Moore for this weekend's vital away clash against Perth after a complex hip injury kept him out of the line-up last round.
