Family fear for Tottenham boss Redknapp over England pressure

The family of Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp have concerns the stress of the England job may be too much for him.

The Sunday Mirror says son Jamie has told pals that he is concerned about the stress, pressure and expectation levels that will be heaped on his father's shoulders if he swaps bossing Tottenham for leading the national team.

Redknapp senior is the overwhelming public choice to succeed Fabio Capello, who resigned a month ago following an FA decision to go over his head and strip John Terry of the captaincy because he is facing trial for allegedly racially abusing an opposing player.

The FA are expected to make a move for 'Arry, but Spurs will battle to keep Redknapp after his outstanding season - chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly prepared to give him a new contract and spending power to build on the club's recent success.
