Lorik Cana's move from Sunderland to Galatasaray was only 24 hours in the making.
The Sunderland Echo says no move was in the offing on Wednesday morning when the players gathered at the Stadium of Light, but within little more than 24 hours, Cana had agreed and tied up a deal which sees him leave Sunderland after just 35 games.
But while both the player himself and manager Steve Bruce were keen to play down the suddenness of the move, the swiftness of the switch suggests a serious parting of the ways.
Cana said family reasons were behind his move - Turkey near neighbours the Albanian skipper's home country.
