Falkirk have decided to turn Saturday's clash with Hibernian into a personal tribute to 40 year old Russell Latapy. The Trinidad and Tobago veteran will be watched by the commissioner from his country's embassy in Britain this weekend and will be inducted into his club's hall of fame following five years' service.
The 'Russell Latapy Day' is the brainchild of supporter Keith Miller.
Latapy said: "I'm very surprised, delighted and honoured to have this Russell Latapy Day on Saturday.
"It started off with Keith coming and saying to (managing director) George Craig he would like to do something.
"He mentioned it to me and I thought 'let's go for it' but I never imagined it would take off in this way.
"It's grown legs of its own and we're having the commissioner from the Trinidad Embassy up for the game and all sorts of stuff.
"It's not every day something like this happens and I'm really happy because it's a way, in my mind, of the fans showing an appreciation of what I've done in the last five years."
