The midfielder has agreed an 18 month loan deal and could make his debut against Kilmarnock today.
Manager John Hughes expressed his delighted at capturing the 26 year old: "I knew about Kevin from my days at Celtic and always admired the way he played football. I tried to sign him during our first season in the SPL but he slipped through the net so I'm delighted to get my man.
"He's a great passer of the ball and plays the game in the correct manner. That's exactly the kind of football I want at Falkirk.
"He's a good age for us with his best years still ahead of him. He's got a great attitude and will fit in well."
