Falkirk boss John Hughes and midfielder Michael Higdon were found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute for comments they made about referee Iain Brines following their side's 3-0 defeat at Celtic. Hughes accused the official of conducting a "witch-hunt" against him, while Higdon branded Brines "a Celtic fan".
The SFA statement continued "The committee also found comments attributed to John Hughes and Michael Higdon were in breach of articles 123 and 126 - that of brining the game into disrepute and criticising match officials - and they were severely censured and warned as to their future conduct."
