New Falkirk boss Eddie May expects to have at least four players join the squad on trial when they return to pre-season training this week. The Falkirk boss has gaps to fill within the squad following the departure of several players.
"We wish all of the players every success in the future and thank them for their contribution to the football club," said May.
Striker Carl Finnigan is close to a new deal, while goalkeeper Robert Olejnik has agreed a two-year contract extension.
May told the club's official website: "Robert Olejnik is still a young goalkeeper - I think people sometimes forget that - and he has a bright future ahead of him.
"I am pleased that he has agreed to extend his time with us.
"An agreement with Carl Finnigan has been reached and I am delighted that Carl will be with us again next season. Ross Wilson and I will tie up the formalities of that agreement with Carl next week.
"I have had extremely positive discussions with Gerard Aafjes this week but he is unable to commit to returning to Scotland at this stage due to family circumstances in Holland."
