After his side's goalless draw with Gretna, Hughes spoke about the man in black Steve O'Reilly.

He said: "Last year we had two novice referees and they have to learn I've no qualms (about that). (We've had) two novice referees, their first games in The SPL and he was a novice referee today, I am just wondering why we always get them.

"I'll ask a question: Do Celtic and Rangers get them when we're in a league of twelve? So I'm flinging the question out there so I'll phone up whoever I have to phone up and hopefully I'll get the answer because we're all the same are we not? Are we in a league of twelve or are we in a league of ten and there's two different ones?"
