Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal continues to defend his recruitment of Radamel Falcao.
Reporters questioned the Dutch tactician after his side lost 2-1 to Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final on Monday night with Danny Welbeck scoring the winner.
Van Gaal sold 24-year old Welbeck to the Gunners in the summer while bringing in Falcao on loan from Monaco and the numbers suggest that Arsenal have done well from the move as the former has scored eight goals and the latter just four.
"He [Falcao] has scored four goals and [made] three or four assists, and he stimulates also the other players so that is an aspect of a profession," said van Gaal.
Of the bellow-par goal tally for Falcao, van Gaal added: "I cannot change that. I cannot change facts and you know that but you can continue."
