Liverpool legend Davie Fairclough says playing the reserve-team at Tranmere Rovers' Prenton Park is a good move.
"It's a good footballing surface at Prenton Park and I think that will be a key asset for the team," Fairclough told liverpoolfc.tv.
"The accommodation at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington and the way Liverpool were received was first class, but unfortunately the pitch didn't suit a passing game.
"They will benefit from playing on a good surface and it's not too far away to go to Tranmere.
"Hopefully we will get some good crowds next season with people looking to see the young players."
