Fabregas: Things are 'going the right way' at Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas feels Chelsea are well-placed to achieve plenty more success.

The west Londoners clinched the Capital One Cup with a 2-0 win over Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday which has thrilled the Spanish midfielder.

Fabregas is of the belief that Jose Mourinho has a perfectly-aged group to kick on from the League Cup triumph and add plenty of silverware to the Stamford Bridge trophy cabinet.

"It's always great to have the winning feeling," Fabregas said. "It's the first trophy for me at Chelsea so I'm very happy.

"It seems like it's going the right way. We have a very young team which is very talented.

"At difficult moments we can compete; we have a good mix of experienced players and young players, but generally we are all around 25, 26 or 27.

"We have a lot of quality and great character, so we are very proud."
