Fabio Liverani has urged Leyton Orient fans to give him time.

The Italian was named manager of the League One club last week.

Writing in his match programme notes, the former Genoa coach said: "I knew of the club but I did not know specifically of the team and the people who worked here before.

"I hope to feel the heart of the supporters and for them to be passionate.

"I ask for a little time before the fans judge me. "I do not know League One very well but I liked to watch English football back in Italy and now I will learn if I need to include bits from Italy or if it would be better to stick to the English style."
