FA won't take action against Man City striker Aguero

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero won't face FA action after his clash with a pitch invader at Wigan Athletic on Monday night.

The Mirror says Aguero claims he was abused, punched and spat at during the pitch invasion following Wigan's shock FA Cup victory over Manchester City.

Striker Aguero, who will not be charged by the FA following the confrontation on the pitch, alleges he was punched by two supporters and one spat in his ear.

City are considering legal action as they examine whether there is case for common assault against at least one fan, with further video evidence emerging to support the claim.

Boss Pep Guardiola and Wigan counterpart Paul Cook will also escape sanction by the FA for their roles in the explosive game that saw Blues defender Fabian Delph sent off.
