John Terry is being earmarked as a future coach of the England national team setup.

The Sun is reporting that the Chelsea captain will be approached by the FA who want him to coach and act as a mentor to the country's young talent.

Along with Frank Lampard and Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard, the Gareth Southgate regime wants former Three Lions players to be heavily involved at St George's Park and will offer them roles with the association.

From Terry's point of view, the FA would be extending the peace pipe after they sacked him as captain which prompted his international retirement for an incident involving Anton Ferdinand in 2012.

Southgate wants to involve the ex-players on a part-time basis and in return, they will have their UEFA ProLicenses fast-tracked by the FA.

Terry, 35, has already begun his coaching badges and comes out of contract with the Blues at the end of the season.
