The Football Association have announced that they will make a bid to host the 2020 European Championships final at Wembley Stadium.
Following the divulgement of UEFA's plan to take the Euros to a multi-host setup rather than holding the tournament in one country, FA chairman David Bernstein feels it would be careless not to push for the hosting rights of the semi-finals and finals of the competition.
"Clearly Wembley is incredibly highly thought of by UEFA and it is something we will push for," he said.
"UEFA want to hold the semi-finals and the final on the same ground, or in the same city and I think we would be on their shortlist - but there would be some strong competition.
"The public want it and we'd want it and it would be wonderful to have it here."
