FA Chiefs charged with developing England's future stars and coaches have met just ONCE in two years, it has emerged.
They finally agreed to build a new National Football Centre - TEN years after the idea was first mooted and SIX years after planning permission was granted for a site in Burton, Staffordshire.
Now SunSport has learned the FA's Technical Control Board, which oversees coaching and player development in this country, has held only one meeting in the past two years.
The last get-together was in November 2006 - mainly because they feel they have had nothing to address.
It is supposed to be the highest technical body in the FA.
But the apparent lack of interest in bringing on players is such that Sir Trevor Brooking, director of football development, is not even a member.
He can attend meetings but has no vote and therefore no real power on the board.
The body is chaired by Robert Coar, former chief of Blackburn Rovers and now a director of the Premier League.
Members include Sir Dave Richards, the Premier League vice-chairman - who refused to sanction the appointment of new England boss Fabio Capello and has been opposed to the Burton football centre.
Bernard Halford of the Manchester FA and Noel White, head of the FA's international committee and a former Liverpool director, are also board members.
