Portsmouth could be hit by an FA charge over the abuse Tottenham away fans poured on their defender Sol Campbell!

The Sunday Mirror says the FA have informed Pompey that technically they could be held responsible for the actions of the away supporters and face charges themselves.

Sources within the Fratton Park club are stunned that they could be hauled up over the actions of visiting fans.

Pompey have not made an official complaint to the FA following the vile abuse directed at their captain from supporters of his former club Tottenham Hotspur during last Sunday's Premier League game.
