Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association over the misconduct charge that followed his outburst during the 4-0 defeat by Tottenham on 10 September.

Hughes was sent to the stands after reacting angrily to decisions made by match officials - including the fourth official.

The Welshman admitted the charge of misconduct and accepted the "standard punishment", according to an FA statement.
