The FA fear they will be priced out of landing Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp as new England coach.
The People says FA chiefs are panicking that they simply cannot afford the £30million cost of appointing their No.1 target Harry Redknapp as England boss.
The FA are aware of a £15m 'transfer fee' written in to Redknapp's contract as Tottenham manager.
And they know Redknapp will want pay parity with Fabio Capello's £6m salary, as well as recruiting four coaches from Spurs - Kevin Bond, Joe Jordan, Clive Allen and goalkeeping coach Tony Parks - pushing the cost up to around £30m.
