FA drop alleged ‘eye poke’ incident involving Stoke’s Crouch
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Tue, 01/24/2012 - 18:50
Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has avoided a possible ban for an alleged eye gouge on West Bromwich Albion’s Jonas Olsson.
The England international was caught on camera with his hand across Olsson’s face during the Potters’ 2-1 home loss on Saturday with the Football Association pondering a possible suspension for gouging.
The incident was missed by referee Anthony Taylor but upon reviewing the footage, the match official said he would not have issued a red card if he saw it on match day meaning that Crouch will not be charged retrospectively.

what a joke the FA are
so clearly biased and possibly racist
to see Mario banned and Crouch and Pepe escape punishment is a dark day for football
