Arsenal captain Robin van Persie will not face any punishment from the Football Association for an incident in yesterday's win over Aston Villa.
The Dutchman, who scored twice form the penalty spot in the come-from-behind 3-2 FA Cup victory, allegedly elbowed Villa defender Carlos Cuellar in an aerial challenge.
Villa boss Alex McLeish wanted retrospective action against van Persie but after referee Mike Jones told the FA he saw the incident but did not think there was anything in it, the association decided it was not worthy of punishment.
