FA CUP: Reading's Clarke looking to pick up Bradford 'baton' against Arsenal

Steve Clarke says Reading are prepared to take up Bradford City's role as giant-killers in the FA Cup.

The Royals burst the Bantams' bubble with a 3-0 win in the quarter-final replay at the Madejski Stadium on Monday night to book a Wembley date with Arsenal in the semi-final next month.

As the Berkshire club get ready for that massive date, manager Clarke spoke of his side's desire to follow in the footsteps of League OneBradford who beat the likes of Chelsea and Sunderland on the way to the final eight of the famous cup competition.

"You see tonight what it means to us," Clarke said.

"We go to the semi-final and a difficult game against Arsenal but we go there with hope and belief that maybe we can continue the good work of Bradford.

"Bradford have been fantastic underdogs in this tournament this year and we look to pick up the baton now and do it in the semi-final."
