The replay of the 2009 FA Cup final ended with Everton and Chelsea sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park. Chelsea have now only suffered one defeat in 26 FA Cup ties since January 2007 and are looking to become the first club to win three successive FA Cups, since Blackburn in 1884, 1885 and 1886.
They had to come from behind at Everton to take the Merseysiders to a replay at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will be relieved with the draw as Everton dominated the second half but failed to take their chances and boss David Moyes will surely think this failure to win at home was their best chance to progress.
The Toffees deservedly took the lead just after the hour when Louis Saha lost his marker John Terry at a corner to bury a header.
But Everton failed to capitalise and substitute Salomon Kalou on a lightening visitor's breakaway coolly netted the equaliser with 15 minutes remaining.
Chelsea's Ramires hit the post with a shot late on, while Nicolas Anelka and EvertonJack Rodwell had efforts saved.
