Arsenal have progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup tonight thanks to a late goal from midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The Gunners edged Swansea City 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium following last week's 2-2 draw in south Wales to move through to the next phase where they will head to Brighton & Hove Albion on January 26.
Arsenal were the dominant side on the night and deserved their victory after some dour defending from the Swans denied a number of chances created in North London.
Arsene Wenger's men forced Swansea keeper Michel Vorm into a number of saves, including a first-half stoppage time goal-line foot to keep out Gunners skipper Thomas Vermaelen.
Swansea were unlucky when former Gunner Kyle Bartley saw his header crash into the crossbar but Arsenal had provided much more of the attack and got their reward with four minutes remaining when Wilshere found the back of the net with a well-struck volley from 20 yards after a neat touch from Olivier Giroud.
It was the win Arsenal needed to try and kickstart their season and it appears as though Wenger may be putting more emphasis on the famous cup competition this time around with the Gunners chasing a first trophy since 2005.
