The FA are offering coaching fast-track options to Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

The Sun says the English duo are both currently playing in the MLS with former Liverpool captain Gerrard at LA Galaxy, and Chelsea's record goalscorer with New York City.

Both players are keen to go into coaching once their playing careers come to an end and the FA are ready to give them a helping hand.

FA chiefs have contacted them in the hope they will be able to help England's progress by doing their badges close to home.

The FA have previously not offered ex-pros the chance to complete their coaching qualification in two years -usually it can take up to four.
