FA charge Man Utd's Ferdinand for Terry Twittering

Rio Ferdinand has been charged by the Football Association over comments he made on Twitter after John Terry was cleared of making racist comments, reports the Manchester Evening News. The FA have charged the Manchester United defender with improper conduct.

Ferdinand has until 4pm on 2 August to respond to the charge.

United acknowledged the charge but declined to comment.
