Liverpool striker David Ngog will not be punished for his dive against Birmingham City on Monday.
The Daily Star says Ngog will NOT be punished for the dive that outraged football.
Television replays clearly showed that Liverpool striker Ngog had taken a theatrical tumble in the penalty area after an innocuous challenge from Birmingham's Lee Carsley on Monday night.
The dive fooled referee Peter Walton, who awarded Liverpool a hotly-disputed penalty that Steven Gerrard netted to earn a 2-2 draw.
The FA have no retrospective punishment in such cases, and a spokesman confirmed Ngog cannot be punished for conning Walton - because of a FIFA ruling. "FIFA state that if a referee has seen an incident then nothing can be done after the event," he said.
"UEFA tried to punish Eduardo at Arsenal, which was stopped upon appeal and that shows just how difficult it is to prove."
