Wolves midfielder David Davis will miss their final home game with an eye injury after being told to rest for a fortnight. The 21-year-old was struck by a ball in training last week, but caretaker-boss Terry Connor still hopes to have the 21 year old available for the last game of the season against Wigan.
"He got struck by a ball that ricocheted up into his face. He obviously didn't have time to react, I think it caught him on his retina, or so I'm told.
"He has to go back and get it reviewed and if it hasn't cleared, they'll obviously ask him to rest it more."
He added: "You could see it had no time to react, it hit him flush in the face, he had no chance - he said it caught him in the eye.
"It bloodied his nose but the eyelid or the eye itself was damaged because he didn't have time to react, he didn't have time to close his eyes.
"It was unlucky but that's par for the season we are having." "It is two weeks rest for Davis with his eye," Connor told the club's official website.
