Former Barcelona chief Toni Freixa says they can sign a replacement for injured midfielder Rafinha.
Rafinha is out for six months with knee ligament damage.
“Barça can register a replacement for Rafinha. Article 124.3 of the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) is clear and here FIFA have no authority", he wrote on his Twitter profile.
Freixa also considers that Barcelona have already seen out their FIFA sanction which covered; "two transfer windows: last winter's window and this summer's transfer period".
As a consequence, Freixa stated that Barcelona need to remove Rafinha's registration and request permission from the RFEF to sign a player outside the confines of the transfer window (article 124 of the RFEF regulation).
