Stoke City have been valued at £230 million on the open market.
The Stoke Sentinel reports Kieran Maguire, who lectures on football finance at Liverpool University, has carried out the calculation.
Stoke's valuation of £229.5m puts the club 11th highest in the table (see below).
It's a far cry from the figure of nearer £10m that was paid by the Coates family to re-acquire the club from its Icelandic owners in 2006.
The list is topped by Manchester City £2.297bn after leapfrogging Manchester United (2.232bn) because it has no debt, while United's debts and losses have been well publicised in recent years.
