Tottenham Hotspur great Ledley King has identified a trio of youngsters who are set to feature as the future of the club in years to come.

The North London club will compete in the Australian leg of the 2016 International Champions Cup against Juventus and Atletico Madrid in Melbourne in July and King expects there to be some invaluable game time for a number of budding Spurs players.

The former club captain was asked if Spurs would unearth some inexperienced talent in the pre-season tour which prompted him to pick out a few names who are destined to force their way into Mauricio Pochettino's first team before too long.

“There's always young players that we will bring along with us on tour for the experience," the former centre-half told Tribalfootball.com.

“There are players like Harry Winks and Josh Onomah - players who have been around the first team.

“A young lad called Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is a centre-half, so expect to see these kids.

“It's great because while people might not recognise them immediately, everything can change in a few months.

“These players are the future and it's great for them to have the opportunity to come over and also for fans to see these guys play, when they do see them in the Premier League, they will say, 'I saw him play, I remember that guy', so expect to see many young talented players coming."

King was speaking as Tottenham's ambassador at the Melbourne launch of the 2016 International Champions Cup Australia, presented by Audi at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Spurs will compete in the Australian leg of the worldwide tournament against Italian giants Juventus, Spanish powerhouse Atletico Madrid and current A-League champions Melbourne Victory in late July.
